So after all the promises of doing a better job updating the blog, parenthood got in the way. I’m pretty sure that those of you with kids already were secretly laughing at my naïve optimism. Like sure I’ll do it; when she’s asleep, which is like… oh yeah never, unless, of course, there’s an appointment to keep or I’ve paid for some expensive baby group somewhere.
Margot’s first proper outing was to visit her daddy’s new restaurant Kushi-ya. Here’s what we thought…
It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Green Haus Plant Shop and Ottar Chocolate. I’ve been a regular visitor to their pop-ups across Nottingham and have featured both of them on the blog quite a bit. So when I heard that they were both going to be setting up permanently at the Nottingham Contemporary, I couldn’t wait to go down.
It’s an exciting weekend in our house because tonight’s the night that tickets to Tom’s new Supper Club – Kushi-Ya go on sale.
We’ve been barbequing since the first rays of spring sun hit Notts’ streets this year. No joke. I remember back in March dragging one of my best lamps outside because we had misjudged how long the days were and were barbequing in the dark.
Hopefully, those lovely weekends when the sun shows its face for the full two days aren’t far away and when they do come nothing’s better for sipping in the sunshine than elderflower cordial.
