New to Notts: The Radcliffe

Before Kushi-Ya, Tom used to work at The Railway in Lowdham. I ‘ve never actually eaten there but I have heard good things and they’ve picked up several awards in the last few years including Best Sunday Lunch Venue at the Nottingham Restaurant and Bar Awards. So when Tom suggested we go to the soft opening of their new pub The Radcliffe in Radcliffe-on-Trent I jumped at the chance.

So after all the promises of doing a better job updating the blog, parenthood got in the way. I’m pretty sure that those of you with kids already were secretly laughing at my naïve optimism. Like sure I’ll do it; when she’s asleep, which is like… oh yeah never, unless, of course, there’s an appointment to keep or I’ve paid for some expensive baby group somewhere.

New to Notts: Ottar and Green Haus at Nottingham Contemporary

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Green Haus Plant Shop and Ottar Chocolate. I’ve been a regular visitor to their pop-ups across Nottingham and have featured both of them on the blog quite a bit. So when I heard that they were both going to be setting up permanently at the Nottingham Contemporary, I couldn’t wait to go down.
